Y’all, it’s here, and I’m kvelling.
Out on 11/20, my new short story collection is now ready for preorders.
“Through the Lens of Time” is comprised almost entirely of stories based upon historical proceedings and factual events. In three sections – labeled “Past”, “Present”, and “Future” – this collection travels through the passage of years, bringing to light what has already happened and offering a view of what might someday come to be. “Through the Lens of Time” relies upon our communal lived experience and the human, all-too-human features we share to highlight how we shape history and history-in-the-making.
Featuring stories discussing such events as the Great San Francisco Earthquake, the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire, the execution of Ethel and Julius Rosenberg, the Challenger Explosion, the 1996 Everest Disaster, and the 2004 Indonesian tidal wave, this collection then examines the reality of life in our society today and the quantum possibilities with which we might someday be faced.
These stories ultimately utilize real-world circumstances and events to theorize the directions in which humanity may evolve, revealing the logical consequences of how we all travel through the time we are given. “Through the Lens of Time” considers where we have been, how we currently exist in the world, and what heights we may someday reach, utilizing aspects of pop culture and geopolitics to remind us all how very human we will always remain.
I would be so honored if you would consider ordering a copy today!
